This is the second half of the list of 10 Seattle Kraken players with the shortest careers in the city. Again, the criteria is that the player is no longer under contract with the franchise, and suited up for fewer than 10 games with the team.
Matt Murray, Goalie, 5 Kraken Games (2025-26)

Claim to Kraken fame: Murray, a two-time Stanley Cup champ, hoped to revive an injury-plagued career with a one-year contract in Seattle.
Instead, more injuries limited him to five games and an 0-2-1 record. A lower-body injury early in a Nov. 15 victory over the San Jose Sharks proved Murray’s Seattle swan song.
Where is he now? A better question is, will he be playing pro hockey anywhere in 2026-27? Murray, who just turned 32, has made just seven NHL appearances over the past two seasons.
Jaycob Megna, Defense, 6 Kraken Games (2022-23)
Claim to fame: Megna attended Glenbrook North High School in Chicago, which was featured in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Where is he now? The 6-foot-6, 220 pound defenseman played briefly for the Panthers, five miles from his childhood home in Plantation, Fla. He spent most of 2025-26 with the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights.
Austin Czarnik, Center, 6 Kraken Games (2021-22)
Claim to Kraken fame: Czarnik was selected off waivers by Seattle from the New York Islanders on Feb. 8, 2022, and was selected off waivers by the Islanders from Seattle less than a month later.
Where is he now? After bouncing between his hometown Detroit Red Wings and their AHL affiliate, Czarnik has played the last two seasons in Switzerland.
Alexander True, Forward, 8 Kraken Games (2021-22)
Claim to fame: True helped Coachella Valley to the 2023 Calder Cup Final with 19 points in 26 playoff games. A former Seattle Thunderbird, True scored the series-winning overtime goal in Game 6 of the 2017 WHL finals.
Where is he now? True played the last two seasons in Sweden, and represented Denmark in the 2026 Olympics.
Derrick Pouliot, Defense, 9 Kraken Games (2021-22)
Claim to Kraken fame: Paired with Will Borgen in his first four games with Seattle, “During the 54-plus minutes they’ve been on the ice together in 5-on-5 play, the Kraken have outscored opponents 3-0 and outshot them 29-15.” (Seattle Times)
Where is he now? Since leaving Seattle, Pouliot had cups of coffee with two more NHL teams, spending most of his time with four AHL clubs.
