Results fell in place for the Seattle Kraken on Sunday, which included the team’s 6-2 win over the visiting Florida Panthers.
That, coupled with the San Jose Sharks losing in Ottawa 7-4 to the Senators, meant the Kraken finished the weekend in the 2nd wild card spot in the Western Conference.
Thus far, trade deadline acquisition Bobby McMann has been a welcome addition. Fresh off the deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs and following a week-long delay due to immigration issues, McMann tallied three points in his debut with the club against the Canucks on Saturday night and followed that up with a goal and an assist against the Panthers.

By the time McMann contributed points in the third period, the victory was already well in hand. The bottom-six of the Seattle forward group gave the home team a 3-1 lead after one period with goals from Ben Meyers, Berkly Catton, and Ryan Winterton.
Kaapo Kakko scored his tenth goal of the season and extended the Seattle lead in the 2nd period.
McMann scored a power play marker in the third period and then had the primary helper on a goal by Jamie Oleksiak, the big D-man with goals in back-to-back games.
The Panthers added a tally in the last two seconds of the game for the final margin.
The Kraken host the Tampa Bay Lighting on Tuesday night before heading out on a six game eastern road trip.
